Warranty overview

Skimguard stands behind our products. This page explains the warranty coverage, how to make a claim and what to expect.

What’s covered

5-year limited warranty — covers manufacturing defects and faults on eField card products: Global Protect Card, A-Lock.
12-month limited warranty — covers manufacturing defects on tech products: Travel Traka, Passport Traka, Key Guard, Personal Alarm, Travel Pod, Passport Sleeve.

What’s not covered

Damage from misuse, accidental damage, neglect, unauthorised modifications, or normal wear and tear.
Lost or stolen items (warranty does not cover loss).
Damage caused by improper storage or exposure to extreme heat or chemicals.

Making a claim

1. Email info@sosimplesolutions.com.au with your order number, product details, description of the fault, and photos/videos where helpful.
2. We may ask for additional information or ask you to return the item for inspection (we’ll provide return instructions).
3. If your claim is accepted, we’ll repair or replace the item, or offer a refund in line with ACL rights and practicality.

Repair, replace or refund

At our discretion, we will repair or replace faulty items. If neither is reasonable, a refund may be offered. This is in addition to your ACL consumer guarantees.

Timeframes

We aim to respond to warranty enquiries within 5–10 business days. Replacement/repair times depend on stock and logistics; we’ll keep you informed.

Shipping for claims

If the item is confirmed faulty, we will cover reasonable return postage and the cost of replacement shipping.
If a return is for change-of-mind and not covered by warranty, return postage is at the customer’s expense unless stated otherwise.

Further rights

This warranty is in addition to rights you have under Australian Consumer Law. ACL rights are not limited by this warranty.
